Mepilex Border Flex Oval is an all-in-one flexible foam dressing with an oval shape designed for the management of chronic and acute wounds. This foam dressing has five layers including:
- Dynamic Backing Film: This layer provides breathability and enhances moisture control. It is shower proof and a barrier to bacteria and viruses
- Retention Layer: This layer is highly absorbent. It protects the wound and peri-wound area and lowers the maceration risk. It also ensures high comfortability due to its Flex Technology.
- Spreading Layer: This layer enhances exudate management and its Flex Technology increases comfortability.
- Foam Pad: This layer enhances moisture control and provides superior fluid handling capacity.
- Safetac Technology Wound Contact Layer: This layer lowers trauma and pain before, while and after dressing changes.
